October 6th Preview: “Community Service at Mount Olivet Rolling Acres” Noon to 1:30

Events

Don Stiles has set up a series of service opportunities for our club for this Rotary year. On Monday, October 6th, we will head to Mount Olivet Rolling Acres (MORA), a youth center at 1701 West Old Shakopee Road, Bloomington, MN 55431. Parking is available in the St. Luke’s church parking lot.

Our team of volunteers will be decorating the center with Halloween decorations. We will also help with a little outdoor landscaping if the weather cooperates. Please arrive at noon. We will help there until about 1:30. Please bring your garden gloves and rakes if you have them.

Mount Olivet is a safe, supportive environment where individuals with disabilities and youth in crisis are given a place to live that provides the stability, care, and dignity they deserve. MORA has three properties in Bloomington to serve their residents. All serve to assist their residents in finding a structured space where they can stabilize and begin their path toward recovery.

The team of volunteers for October 6th includes Diann Kirby, Mary Kurth, Don Stiles, Mike Helmick, Deb Newman, Jim Casserly, Sara Tan, Terry Stirewalt, Karyn Arazi, and Mike Arazi. Connect with Don Stiles if you have any last-minute complications. stiles.don@gmail.com
