One of our newer Rotarians, Warsan Artan, serves as the Bloom in Bloom-ington Program Facilitator for the city of Bloomington. She is an advocate for community development, youth empowerment, and equitable policy change. Her years of work with youth have given her a unique insight into social media and how best to use it to drive interest in your organization through social media.

Warsan will share why social media matters and then help us understand how to build a successful media presence on our current Rotary pages. She will provide a simple outline of elements needed for each form of engagement, from LinkedIn to Instagram to Facebook.

Warsan has a Master of Public Policy from UC San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy. She is the first woman in her family to graduate college. Warsan was a proud member of Interact in high school and a member of Rotaract at San Diego State University. Strategy.
