Bloomington Noon Rotary

Middle School Sport Donation

History

As part of the 2019-2020 Bloomington, Minnesota School budget, the decision was made to eliminate middle school sports except for track and field.

Starting in 2023-2024 school year, the Bloomington Noon Rotary Club donated funds to add after school extracurricular sports to all Bloomington Middle Schools.

The Bloomington Rotary Club Foundation is raising funds from business and community members for 100% barrier-free participation for all middle school students.

The 2023-2024 school year had over 550 boys and girls participating in either soccer, track or wrestling.

What people are saying

I firmly believe having middle-schools kids involved in sports.  Middle school can be a challenging time for our kids and having sports programs available to them can help get through those times without getting into trouble.  Any opportunity we can get to middle school kids into something positive we need to take it” Booker Hodges

Bloomington Chief of Police

We are really good.  We beat all Lakeville teams
