Dustin Delfs is from Bloomington, Minnesota, and has been an athlete with Special Olympics since 2013. He has competed in softball, golf, flag football, and basketball, earning medals across all four sports. A Minnesota Vikings player once called him “the best quarterback in the league.” Dustin trains year-round to stay competition-ready and regularly plays for the Minneapolis Eagles.

The Special Olympics USA Games take place every four years. This year, they were hosted in Minnesota from June 20 to 26, 2026, at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and the National Sports Center in Blaine. The event featured competitions in 16 sports, welcoming more than 3,000 athletes from 52 delegations.
