The Weight Lifted: What This Scholarship Means to Me

Testimonials

Dear Karyn Arazi,

Thank you for this scholarship and for the opportunity to continue my education. As a first-generation college student, I have spent a lot of time figuring out things on my own, so this support means a lot to me. Figuring out how to fund my education has been something that I have found stressful, having that stress lifted has allowed me to focus on school and my classes.

My plans for the future are to go to medical school and following that I want to go into radio oncology. Since I was young, I have known that I wanted to help people. Your donation is a stepping stone, helping me focus on my education now so I can continue my education in the future and achieve the goals I’ve had since I was a kid. I am majoring in biology; science has always been one of my favorite subjects.

Growing up in Minneapolis, I was between schools a lot trying to find a place where education was the focus. After moving to Bloomington, I finally got to go to a school that helped me grow as a person within school. I’ve done work with kids, and its always been really fulfilling to me. Through that experience I’ve seen how much having support means to kids, and I feel the same way with your support.

Again, thank you so much for this opportunity, I appreciate it more then you can imagine.

Sincerely,

Janessa S
