In 1966, Bloomington Rotarian Lee Sundet inspired fellow Rotarian Harold Larson
with news of the valuable work done by Courage Center, one of the only
organizations in the country providing comprehensive services to people with
disabilities. To raise money for Courage Center and other worthy causes, Harold
Larson cleared out the lower showroom at Harold Chevrolet for an evening
of socializing, dining, entertainment and fund-raising. Over the years, the Harold
Larson Party has grown in terms of both attendance and money raised. In the past
three years, this "fun-raiser" has produced approximately $100,000 for our
charitable partners.
